Friday, January 5, 2024 - Improved relative to my note a few years ago. Still reductive, but with air some raspberry and unripe strawberry emerged. Highly mineral.

I consistently find the Envinate wines to be reductive in kind of an extreme way, but when I look at other reviews on CT, maybe I'm an outlier. A lot of notes for these wines highlight barnyard or funk, which to me connotes brett, but I don't get that from the Envinate wines I've tasted - I get very pronounced struck match. So if I'm reading it right and the culprit is oxygen deprivation, a few more years of age can only help!
