Monday, January 1, 2024 - Chateau d'Yquem 1986
Lovely golden color, very silky and sumptuous. Very elegant to the nose and palate.
Tasting notes: dried fruits (apricot, plum), honey, spices (saffron, cinnamon, pepper, liquorice) a slight mineral note too.
Absolute perfect balance between the sweetness and the acidity.
Probably this is not just drinking a glass of wine, it’s a real experience!

Thanks Aodan_Manca!

1/9/2024 11:26:00 PM - If you can store it correctly give it those extra years, I think it can still evolve a bit. But if you can’t open it and enjoy it now, it’s at its best. Update me please if you open it!

1/10/2024 12:03:00 AM - Thanks a lot Aodan_Manca, my plan is to pop the Rieussec 2001 this year for my 50th ... saving this d'Yquem 1986 for my wife's 50th in 2029!
