Monday, December 23, 2019 - Enjoyed while traveling in Paris over Christmas holiday. I recall the waiter repeatedly sniffing the cork😉. I assured him it needed a decant after being closed up for so many years. After the funk blew off it was an old world experience. I'm certain the waiter thought we were crazy for ordering a bottle this aged. When and where was I going to enjoy a Rothschild like this in the states for under $40? Fruit had faded yet the balance was still there. Sure it was at the end of it's drinkable life, but "when in Rome"... or rather when in Paris...cheers to Bordeaux!
