Friday, January 12, 2024 - Slow oxed one hour. Served with homemade Beef Pie. 3/4 transparent, clean of sediment. Nose has pyrazine, schist, blackberry and plum. Palate has good weight and medium acid, light oak, blackberry, chocolate, plum, some smoke, iodine. Harmonious balance, restrained oak, sweetness and tannin. Elegant experience and really well made. By most Napa comparisons, this is worth about double. We prefer old world wines so this is saying a lot.
