Likes this wine:

Friday, January 12, 2024 - “Loring Purple” in color, of course. The nose is distinctive with a definite sweetness. Notes of sweet cherry, black cherry, cola, perhaps some Dr. Pepper, a bit of cranberry, all continuing through the rather long finish. Bright on the palate, the wine has a distinct sweetness, but not at all cloying. The acidity is spot on and holds the wine in balance. This is distinctly different from other Loring Pinots. I email with Brian who confirmed that it does have a higher RS than his other wines, coming in at 1.9g/liter. Whoa! Light sediment. 14.3% alc. With assorted cheeses including Stilton with country ham and crusty bread. This paired well with the Stilton and will pair well with Thai and other pan-Asian fare. 01.12.24. Recommended.
