Monday, June 22, 2009 - Deep, dark ruby-garnet color. Opaque. Cassis, oak and graphite on the nose. Blackberry, oak, a hint of chocolate on the palate. Finishes with soft violets lingering long on the mouth. Tannins still have plenty of grip. This doesn't taste like an 8 year old bottle of wine. It is still fresh and youthful. Promises to continue to improve over the next 2 - 3 years. I certainly hope so, with only one bottle remaining.
