Saturday, January 27, 2024 - Typical Dunn but with some interesting nuances. Excellent cassis and blackberry flavors bolstered by pencil shavings, cedar, tobacco and very, very distinctive leather component. I was going to call it baseball glove but my girlfriend corrected me. It was, and she is absolutely correct, new Louis Vuitton leather. Wow! A 30 minute decant was all that was needed for this wine to fully blossom. The nose leapt from the glass and was captivating. Silky smooth, the still-present tannins have softened and sweetened considerably. As with most Dunns, this one can go another decade or two, but it's singing right now.
