Saturday, February 24, 2024 - Beautiful wine! Confession: I love Lugana. I already loved in when everyone (including me) thought this was made of the cheap Trebbiano grape. And I still love it.
This wine is beautifully made - apricot, nectarine, a bit of melon, followed by good, citrusy acidity. Long aftertaste. Round and smooth.
The fruit starts to fade a bit. I’d say it’s a tad past its peak. Nice to drink now, but I’d drink up quickly, if this wasn’t the last bottle for me.
