Color showed the bricking on the outer edge of a gracefully aged wine. Even though the bottling shows 8% cab franc, it really showed it's colors with strawberry, cherry, bell pepper, violet on the nose. Mouthfeel was a little thin but came with expressive cherry, smoke, some earth tones and a little more dried herbs. Finish had no tannins to speak of but a hint of acidity and lasted a good 15 - 20 seconds.
