Sunday, July 5, 2009 - Ruby-red. Nose shows lots of fruit, cassis and blackberry. In the mouth, a surprising overtone of cranberry (!?) over loamy earth. The finish bring fine-grained tannins, but firm dryness. Tastes a bit hot, odd since it's listed at 14.1% ABV. Balance is good, and the finish is rather long.
Drink through 2013.
