Saturday, April 27, 2024 - Raspberry, cherry, soil and cinnamon aromas with a firm acidic palate. Nice fruit quality but shut down and the acetic acid is higher than I prefer. This is anomalous to my experiences with the 2018 and 2017 dundee hill bottlings which still had the "funk" but less in the way of acetic acid. Palate really expanded on day 2 and everything was more integrated. Needs a decant now but a few years of age will be beneficial. This wine clashes with fish, but I think will do well with sauce based dishes, stew or pizza.
