Friday, May 10, 2024 - Translucent ruby color, clear edges, bright overall, with the slightest hints of amber. Aromas of black raspberry & fig, with hibiscus tea, root spices, iron and damp forest, nice expression but a little shy. The palate shows cherry, red apple and wild berry red fruit, refined and elegant, with secondary depth of black tea, five spice, red florals, rocky minerals and woodsy earth. Lithe and silky around the edges with firm core density that softens with air, structured with juicy medium acidity and broad grainy soft tannins, finishing with moderately long zesty length. Very nice, well-integrated flavors, still a lot of structure running behind the flavor integration a bit.
