The 2008 vintage is no exception, but I have to say that it's not at the same level of 2006 or 2007 - not quite as concentrated. Sparky Marquis said that he expected the lower tier 2008's to be better this vintage because the rough growing year prevented them from making the higher end stuff, resulting in the best grapes going into the lower end of this latest vintage. On the other hand, it wasn't a great growing year and can only be so good. I can see why they avoided the high end stuff this time around. Still glad for the purchase.
