Sunday, August 23, 2009 - I am not a scorekeeper but know what is a great wine. This was not my style, TG I only have three left. My vivid memory of this wine brought me back to grade school where I would chew on my pencil, yum. I desperately hunted for the fruit that I've come to love from Washington wines, must have left it out of this one. My yearning for the evolution was not quenched. OK, here comes the good news, I felt this wine was created by a team that walks a very high wire, it is one of the best balanced wines I've had, once again only missing component was that darn fruit. I feel this wine would be worthy of a score of ninety if and only if the finish was there. Still, all in all, this is a fine wine for the dough. Final thought, I have a cellar of their other selections, hoping to find the fruit in them, if not I will have no other choice but to get rid of them, or use them for cooking(JK).
