Wednesday, September 23, 2009 - Didn't know what to expect from this wine. Popped and poured and let it sat on the glass for about 10 minutes. Color of garnet. Some funkiness in the nose along with hint of some berries and earth. Elegant and balanced with soft tannins. Not much fruit left, but underbrush, river rock and spices. Medium finish. A well crafted $20 wine on release, it is past its prime but still drinking quite well after 24 years.
