Monday, October 19, 2009 - Mainstream Champagne at Franks house (At Franks house): Opened this matured red Burgundy after the Champagnes were tasted. Frank bought this one at an auction in Munchen.

Nose: Leather, a lot of forrest, smoke, dried cherries and balanced sweetness.
Mouth: Cherries, slightly acid and bitternes balanced, smoke, grumsy, wide and some spices (cummin).
Complex, interesting, still very drinkable but not a great wine.
