Friday, December 4, 2009 - Started out with such promise as I popped the cork and the aroma filled the air. Just a beautifully expressive nose. Unfortunately as it crossed my palate it was monolithic with no structure left (if it ever had any). Picked up a little weight with air but remained uninspiring with nothing but a little plum on the palate. A shame as this is one of my very favorite Cabernet producers. Maybe Syrah is just not their Forte.
