Thursday, January 21, 2010 - I do like this vintage! Quite dark, with a deep, brooding nose of creamy oak, berries, & alchohol. Not a lot of acidity here, at any temp., but I'm now convinced a "goldie locks" temperature exists to serve this wine: less than room, but more than cellar. Say, 65-66 degrees. If cooler, the middle hollows out & the tannins, already soft to begin with, don't show through on the back-end. Too warm, and the really nice spiced chocolate notes won't unfurl. [16.00; $22.00].
