Friday, February 6, 2009 - We drank our first bottle of this with a pot roast dinner on 2/2/09. When first opened, it had a strong aroma of smoked meat. After an hour in the decanter, that became much more subdued and I discovered wonderful blueberry, blackberry and pepper aromas. The palate followed exactly. It was very smooth, but moderately tannic with a long, 45 second, finish...thoroughly enjoyable now, but will certainly improve with time. 91+
