Tuesday, March 23, 2010 - Dark, silky and seductive. A supple balance of firm tannins, blackberry fruit, pepper, and spice. This wine was a powerful and lively companion to a swiftly made supper, not much time to waste on cooking, so we threw together a few bunches of gorgeous red chard, sauteed with tons of garlic and spicy Italian sausage, a fresh baguette, alongside a big hunk of aged Parmesan, with ripe red plums for dessert. All of this, and the premiere of the third season of Breaking Bad. Thank you, Jesus.
