The aromatics are forward and show black cherry, spice, vanilla and oak notes that fail to become completely harmonious. The color is a dark ruby that is youthful and vibrant. The medium/full bodied palate never fully integrate the rich core of fruit with the underlying structure giving the wine a somewhat unbalance and awkward feel. Hopefully a few years of bottle age will bring all the components together in a more harmonious whole. If this wine resolves the disjointedness, it could easily become outstanding.
