Friday, April 9, 2010 - I wonder about bottle variation in this case, because I have to disagree with previous notes. This is an interesting wine.
Open nose of cedar, and new leather, very appealing.
A little dull on the palette, but with a very nice mix of glycerin against acid.
Sangiovese typicity with red fruits and some veg.
Some grabbing tannin, talk powder and limestone finish.
Just the nose on this wine is worth the coin. Would be hard pressed to find a Chianti for example this pleasant for just over $10
