Sunday, April 18, 2010 - Unctuous but still reserved dark fruits on the nose. This was too chilled at cellar temp on opening, but with some air and warmth it opened up.

Palate of glycerin infused but tightly wound black fruits show admirable purity, weight, nice lift and length. Still tight, I'm sure it will mellow and integrate with some more time, but I'm not sure how much "better" it will become. One of the really nice things about it now is its sense of freshness, and if it retains that it could do ok for some further short-term cellaring.

Good datapoint on sense of the vintage, certainly won't be opening any heavy hitters for quite some time now.
