Sunday, April 25, 2010 - Deep dark purple black color. Comes across as hot as a whole. Really extracted blackberries, blueberries, black pepper spicel, vanilla, lots of oak and alcohol. I just couldn't come around this this wine.
I didn't even realize there was Syrah planted in the To-Kalon vineyard. This was super ripe and viscous liqueur like juice. The viscocity was enjoyable, but the fruit was completely hidden by the heat.
Kind of hollow in the midpalate with super high alcohol, lower acidity and moderate high tannin structure. Pass.
