Friday, April 30, 2010 - Man, this is a nice wine with deep fruit and it stays the course and doesn't seem to get phat or sryupy. The dark color portends the wine to come, showing a maroon type color with some purple edges. Big plum, raspberry that sits on a dark core with yet the red fruited cherry acidity to help lift it and carry it. After about 2 hours, as it breathes out and warms from the chill I put on it at the start, it shows the same flavors but also some nice tannin on the finish with cherry acidity and mineral. You know, this wine is still a few years away from being ready and will live for several years after that. My drink window is 2011-2015. Delicious, lively and not heavy at all.
