Monday, June 2, 2008 - This dark colored Chateauneuf du Pape looks like a young wine. Jammy black cherries, licorice, cinnamon, earth and spice aromas are all over the place. Full bodied and concentrated, this youthful wine offers a rich, flamboyant, palate feel, freshness and a long, jammy black cherry finish. This might be the finest young Beaucastel ever made. This will improve with age. I am probably being a bit stingy with the high score I gave it.
