Wednesday, May 17, 2006 - Tasted the morning after it was opened and kept in the fridge. Bright, rich, gold in color. At first smell this wine is definitely Meursault: rich, round and dense. With some movement this wine shows lots of white fruits accented by stone fruits and a slight hint of pineapple juice (not typically my favorite, but in this case it plays a minor role). With more time some alcohol does begin to emerge from the glass, which is a little dissappointing. I'm also finding crushed sea shells a la Chablis, but covered with the extra density of Meursault. Really nice mouthfeel: balance and length are impressive. The alcohol is carried quite favorably on the palate - not noticable save for lifting the MF. A solid wine.
