Sunday, October 17, 2010 - Knockout dark cherry nose with vibrant, tasteful fruit and underlying smoke, spice, and minerality. There's a sudden sharp acidity on the mid-palate that adds complexity and power, but more importantly displays aging potential, as fruit forward as it may taste. This wine has shifted strictly to the allocated list, and is noticeably outperforming the 2007 cabernet sauvignon. Looking forward to seeing how this wine evolves over the next five years, but expect it to peak in 2012.
