Sunday, October 24, 2010 - Although this was probably opened well before its prime, I was absolutely stunned by how well this is drinking right now. Layers upon layers of complexity on both the nose and the palate. Of the 15 wines tasted last night, this one was a true stand-out. Eucalyptus, leather, tobacco and crostini (that's a new one for me) on the nose, with so much rich dark fruit, leather and tobacco flavors on the palate. This will definitely be in contention for wine of the year for me. Absolute stunner!
