Sunday, October 31, 2010 - I always have the fear of premox in the back of my mind with this producer, but nothing to worry about with this bottle. Light yellow color with initially reticent nose. As it warmed up I got citrus fruits, vanilla, an interesting nutty aroma, especially hazelnut. There was a razor sharp acidity in the midpalate that I loved, along with crunchy yellow fruit, lime, and a lot of minerality. Definitely grand cru stuff, with a long oily, lip-smacking finish. I went back to this at the end of the night and it had grown in intensity, really great bottle. This is drinking great right now, which surprised me a little bit considering it's only age 8 for a corton charlie. I wonder about the long term future.
