Friday, December 10, 2010 - Consistent with prior notes. Not as much depth as some of the earlier vintages, that brought the big reviews. This wine has it's place, and can be nice from time to time, but I could not drink it regularly. Big black berry fruit assaults the palate on first blush. Once that settles in, there are some secondary burnt sugar, creme caramel, flavors, and even some vanilla extract. If you are open to it, then this bottle can be fun from time to time. Drinking this daily is likely to fry your palate!! Very concentrated and thick, but in the end this is a well-made wine!!
