Monday, January 24, 2011 - Tasted at the estate. Not yet released. This wine is 70% from estate grown fruit (a HUGE leap from 2007) and one can taste the geographic shift to Pritchard Hill fruit. Dark purple color. Nose of dark plum, fig, licorice, and smoke. Youthful palate of blackberry, blueberry, graphite and minerals. Bright cool-climate acidity. Toasty oak. Excellent length. Grippy young tannins. This is going to be another winner.
