Both black and red fruits, gentle woody base, and good soil tones. As opposed to one previous note writer, I don't think I would have picked this out as Gamay if I had tasted it blind; my thinking would have been a modern styled village wine from the the Cote de Nuits. Very, very good, and rounder than say Diochon.
