Thursday, February 24, 2011 - Three days in the Hunter Valley, 13 Cellar Doors, 115 wines; 2/24/2011-2/26/2011 (Hunter Valley, Australia): Spicy aromas, with a nuttiness that comes across as oak (though surely there is none used here). More nuts and spice on the palate. The finish becomes rank though. Tastes of metal shavings... like I'm chewing a machine shop. Really not pleasing.
