Friday, May 27, 2011 - Good wine, but not worth the tariff. Burgundy color with a garnet core, not much lightening on the rim. Nose was medium intensity with forest and floral tones. Palate had some boysenberry, vanilla, cola, and pine. There was a good amount of complexity, but only adequate integration of the flavors into the experience. Finish was medium in length and on the dry side. Tannins were a little chunky for the age. Wine was decanter and consumed over a few hours.
