Friday, June 3, 2011 - aerated ad decanted over 2-3 hrs. Initially very odd and separate flaovrs. couldn't actually describe what i was smelling. but this changed considerably over 2-3 hrs. During the process got some hard liquor smells, perhaps bourbon?? also, earth and some tobacco. At the last, it became quite round in the mouth (and new world like in the use of oak) though on the finish definite Italian Barolo..dusty/dry tannic finish. I really like this and can't wait to drink the other 3 bottles. Definite rebuy at $38.
