Saturday, June 11, 2011 - Composite cork was saturated 4mm. Initial aroma was like standing in a field of sweet onions and was very pleasant. This is a light / medium-light bodied wine with a lighter dusting of tannins that linger. Not a lot of fruit. When allowed to aerate on the tongue, I sense some sweet corn. Faint hit of vanilla. Occassionally some pepper or spice on the after taste. Well structured. Opens with breathing. Nothing wrong with this wine, except a little light and the fruit is tight. 70% Merlot/15% Cabernet Sauvingon/15% Cab Franc.
