Monday, June 27, 2011 - One of the most dynamic Carlisles I've had, even at (or maybe because of?) it's young age. This starts out with pungent game aromas and pork fat. I had to keep checking the bottle to verify it was zin and not syrah. With air, the meat aromas give way to peppery blackberries. Great structure and acid throughout, with the winemaking completely transparent.
