Sunday, July 3, 2011 - Half-bottle, consumed over two days. The nose was sweet and vegetal, with dark fruits, citrus peel, leather, tobacco, sweat, mint, melissa and gingerbread. On the palate the full-bodied wine showed aggressive tannins, with sweet dark fruits emerging after two hours (marked by intense plum and fig flavours), some red fruits, sour cherries, tobacco and chocolate. The wine was all about power and lacked balance. It seemed though that the wine has a long live ahead and might turn out nice once matured.
