Thursday, April 21, 2011 - Dark deep red. Hard to approach initially but the wine open up nicely in about two hours and stayed together for a day. Dark cherry and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate shows a good balance of fruit sweetness and acidity, with a touch of charcoal, ripe tannins and moderately long finish. I finished the bottle on second day and the wine pulled together even more. Easily another five years.
