Saturday, February 4, 2006 - Medium garnet/ruby colour to a pink/violet rim. Pretty nose of currant, strawberry, earth, and red licorice. Gorgeous bouquet that opens with time; can smell from three feet away. Medium-bodied, nice structure, with currant, earth, red licorice, minerals. Tannins present, but not overwhelming. Moderate finish, 30-35s, with red berries. Surprisingly good for the vintage. Can hold for a couple years.
