Wednesday, July 20, 2011 - Very little sediment. Ruby red color. A note of strawberry jam upon opening settling in with red fruits, lavender, hints of green tobacco and a little warm alcohol. The palate is fresh and tangy with great acidity. The purity and weightlessness on the palate is noteworthy. This has some tannic strength on the back end which is manageable and enjoyable, particularly while eating. The finish is long and balanced between the red fruit and minerals of asphalt and crushed stone.
