Sunday, August 7, 2011 - Classy Chard! Great balance between oak, fruit, cream, acid, and minerality. The rocky soil really steals the show. At first (57*) it is very smooth with creamy fruit. As it warms (through 62*) the acidity and oak starts to assert. At 65* the wine blossoms into this wonderful minerality with a long lingering finish.
This is a world-class chard.
