Tuesday, January 1, 2013 - Happy 2013! Another bottle: nose: faint blackberry, as before; taste: smooth raspberry - cherry taste, medium-length earthy Old World palate with tasty plum-anise-chocolate finish; overall: still a delicious, winning pour and a very good value at $16/bottle.

89 points, 10/9/2011 -- color: purple velvet; nose: faint blackberry and a little vanilla; taste: medium mouth feel, blackberry fruit taste (restrained, not jammy), medium-length finish with spice, anise, and tasty tannins; overall: balanced and mature, reasonable QPR ($16), paired well with a grilled pork tenderloin
