Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - 2011 Casual Session - 18 @ Jade Palace (Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant, The Forum Shopping Mall, Orchard Road): It was sourish, lean and lack of fruits when popped and poured. Decanted for 60mins and this started to show what its got! Very perfume sweet cherry on the nose that surrounded by plenty of floral scents, especially roses along with dried tea leave, earth, anise and meatiness, very enticing and focus. I'm surprised! Very complete and lush on the palate too, with modest scale of a 1er Cru but this has the harmonious and precision of a Grand cru! The acid is on the high side at first that inherited from the vintage, but with time the underlying sweet fruits surface and hit the perfect balance point with fine grained tannin leads to the medium length finish with detail that linger with sweet plum. earth and meatiness. Very delicious!
