Sunday, October 23, 2011 - At BWC tasting. Nose just a little muted, with some black liquorice, violets, and anise. Some oak on the palate that has not receded yet, with rich black and blue fruits, pepper, and a good mineral component. Very concentrated fruit and big strong finish. Acidity not as stark as some of the other zins at tasting.
