Saturday, November 20, 2010 - Faiveley did exceptionally well in 1990, the wines show no roasted fruit character and have wonderful poise and tension, this Clos Vougeot is case in point. It has an intoxicating aroma of moss, decaying leaves, sap, fresh cherries and earth. It is deep and dark in the mouth with some notes of blood plum and meat. There’s good underlying muscle and the finish is direct and long. It is just entering what should be a very long period of drinkability.
