Thursday, November 24, 2011 - Shared with M and A. Evolved over two days. Great balance of sweet and dry, meaning not as sweet or unctuous as some other sauternes. Tropical fruits, honeyed citrus, and a bit of caramel/vanilla that reminded me somehow of maple leaves on the nose. On the palate, candied orange peel, apricot, honey, and a very subtle bit of drying tannin that balances the sweetness and reminded me of a TBA on the first day which became spicier on the second day on the finish. Great.
