Sunday, November 20, 2011 - Decanter Sassicaia & Ornellaia Masterclass (Landmark Hotel London): Dark almost opaque ruby core with a garnet rim. Very focused nose - deep ripe fruit, sweet and inky. Oak notes and sweet spice, also black raisins. Texture is velvety smooth, melted licorice, concentrated sweet spice and cassis. Opulent and graceful. Structure is masked behind the ripeness of fruit but definitely this is a wine for the long run.
