Thursday, December 8, 2011 - took to a birthday dinner at Boulevard in SF. Decanted 30 minutes prior to drinking. Lovely red ruby color; fantastic floral nose or red fruits and spice. On the palate, this is seamless with a repeating of the floral notes and then a smoky spicy finishing note. This lasted well into the evening but began to become a little disjointed after a few hours. Superb wine that I feel is drinking at peak.
